Huizhou Huangju planting base is located at Da Guyun village (??????????? the traditional premium tea planting area in Huangshan Area, Anhui Province. It has been teeming with various agricultural products such as tea, chrysanthemum, pepper, tobacco, etc. since ancient times. But one thing that makes this typical Chinese rural town along with surrounding mountainous area stand out across China is its tea producing industry. The main producing area of the very famous Huangshan Maofeng tea, one of the China top-10 premium teas and China's protected products of origin, is centered on this region. Some other premium teas produced there include Huangshan green peony (?????????????) and Huangshan silver hook (????????????) tea, etc.
Huizhou Huangju is grown high up (??????) in the pristine Huangshan Mountains (also known as Mount Huang) in Anhui Province, where there are vast forests wreathed in clouds during all four seasons. The humid climate plus advantageous geographical conditions makes this ancient land become the ideal home to many rare animals and plants – Our Huizhou Huangju tea is exactly one of the numerous nature's gifts from there.
Multiple uses of Huangju (??????)
China is the center of world’s chrysanthemum-growing industry for its long history of cultivating and studying chrysanthemum since ancient time. There are many varieties of chrysanthemum growing in China nowadays, among them“?????”(known simply as huangjuhua in China, huang= emperor; juhua= chrysanthemum) is second to none when making chrysanthemum tea for its golden color and wonderful taste.
Used for drinking: Huangju is rich in a variety of amino acids, vitamins and minerals (very high in flavoring) so it has the potency to clear away heat, improve acuity of sight as well as other health benefits.
Used as Ornamental plants: Chrysanthemum (Chinese pinyin: juhua) has been cultivated since ancient times as a decorative plant for more than 1,000 years. They are widely planted as potted flowers for people to enjoy. Chrysanthemum flower can be kept 'brilliant' in full bloom in clear water for as long as 7 days without withering. This is the reason why they are popularly used for aesthetic appreciation in upscale hotels, bars and luxuriously furnished houses nowadays.
Used as natural food material: Huangju is also a kind of natural food materials. In China, there are many tradition snacks made and named with Huangju, familiar ones includes Huangju wine, Huangju congee, Huangju pastry/ cookies and the like.
