(7603) French Onion & Garlic Sausage, Apple, Cranberry Stuffing

Preheat oven to 350°. Evenly arrange the bread on a baking pan. Sprinkle Olive Oil over the bread. Bake until bread is evenly toasted (5-7 minutes). Remove from oven and set aside in a large bowl.

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage.

Remove sausage from the pan and combine it with the toasted bread. Melt the duck fat and brown the onions. Mix in the celery and cook for 2 minutes.

Mix in the beef stock, Rubbed Sage, Cut & Sifted Rosemary, Dried Thyme, Dried Parsley, French Onion Garlic Blend, and Ground White Pepper Cook for a minute and then add the chopped apple and Dried Cranberries. Combine with the toasted bread and sausage. Pour into a casserole dish, top with butter cubes, cover and cook for 20 minutes.

- 5 cups cubed bread, day old

- 1 pound ground Italian sausage

- 1 cup onions, chopped

- ¾ cup celery, chopped

- 1 tablespoon (5168) Rubbed Sage

- 1 tablespoon (5010) Cut & Sifted Rosemary

- 1 teaspoon (5008) Dried Thyme

- 1 tablespoon (5020) Dried Parsley

- 1 tablespoon (7603) French Onion Garlic Blend

- ½ teaspoon (5196) Ground White Pepper

- 1 Golden Delicious Apple, cored, diced

- ¾ cup Dried Cranberries

- 1 teaspoon Duck Fat

- 1 cup Beef Stock Low Salt

- 4 tablespoons butter, cubed

- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

In place of duck fat use unsalted butter.
