5154 Brown Sugar Salted Caramel Popcorn

Heat Granulated Brown Sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once sugar is completely melted, immediately add butter. Stir the butter into the caramel until it is completely melted. Stir in heavy cream a little at a time. Add Hudson Valley Salt and Vanilla Bean Powder.

Pour into a Mason jar and allow to cool to room temperature.

When cool drizzle over popcorn of your choice.

- 1 cup (5154) Granulated Brown Sugar

- 6 tablespoons Salted Butter, cut up into 6 pieces

- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- 1 teaspoon (4290) Hudson Valley Salt

- ½ teaspoon Vanilla Bean Powder or (the seeds form ½ a Vanilla Bean)

- Popcorn of choice

Making popcorn on the stove top is easy to do with a few tricks.

Heat 3 tablespoons of Canola oil in a 3-quart thick-bottomed saucepan on medium high heat. Put 3 or 4 popcorn kernels into the oil.  When the kernels pop, add 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels in an even layer.  

Cover and remove from heat and wait 30 seconds.  
Return the pan to the heat. The popcorn should begin popping soon, and all at once.  

Once the popping slows to several seconds between pops, remove the pan from the heat, remove the lid, and dump the popcorn immediately into a wide bowl.
