5140 Lemon Ginger Sorbet

5140 Lemon Ginger Sorbet

In a sauce pan, stir together water, sugar, and lemon zest.
Slowly bring to a boil, and then reduce to a low simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Add lemon juice, club soda, and Ground Ginger.

Pour into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer’s directions.

Scoop and garnish with Diced Crystallized Ginger.

- 1 cup water

- ½ cup sugar

- zest of 1 lemon, finely grated

- ½ cup lemon juice

- ¾ teaspoon (5019) Ground Ginger 

- ½ cup club soda

- (5140) Diced Crystallized Ginger, for garnish

If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a container and place in the freezer overnight or until solid.

Ginger gives this dish a special flavor and zest
