5019 Ginger Spiced Pumpkin Pie


Preheat oven to 400°. Combine the sugar, brown sugar, flour, Himalayan Pink Salt, Ground Ginger, "Saigon" Cinnamon, Ground Nutmeg, Ground Cloves, and Ground Black Pepper.

In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, beat together eggs, pumpkin, and half and half. Whisk in the dry ingredients. Add all ingredients to the prebaked pie shell. Bake for 45 minutes. The middle of the pie will be wobbly. Remove the pie from the oven and cool on a rack. The center will finish cooking as the pie cools.

- ½ cup granulated sugar

- ½ cup brown sugar

- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

- ½ teaspoon (4040) Himalayan Pink Salt

- 1 teaspoon (5019) Ground Ginger

- 1 teaspoon (5045) Vietnamese "Saigon" Cinnamon

- ½ teaspoon (5021) Ground Nutmeg

- 1/8 teaspoon (5050) Ground Cloves

- 1/8 teaspoon (5185) Ground Black Pepper, freshly ground

- 3 large eggs

- 2 cups pumpkin puree

- 1 ¼ cups half and half

- 1 premade pie crust (precooked to the directions on the package)

For best flavor refrigerate the pie filling in a covered dish overnight.
